Geometry:
Today we went over homework problems involving surface and lateral area of a pyramid.  We then found the formula for lateral area of a cone, which is EXACTLY the same formula for the lateral area of a pyramid.  After this, we did a demonstration to show how the volume of a pyramid and a cone was: V = 1/3(Area of base)*(height).

Homework:
There is a worksheet showing different levels of problems that you'll see on test.  Level III are the most challenging.  Students are to choose three of them to complete for homework tomorrow.  Also, there are four problems from the book: (Pg. 709) #7, 12, 14, 16.

CORRECTIONS ON HOMEWORK WORKSHEET!!!
1. Please cross out the word "slant" in #5.  The height of this pyramid is 10 cm, not the slant height.
2. Please change the diameter of the cone in #6 to be 12 cm, not 10 cm.  Change this also in the diagram.

Retake policy:
If you wish to retake the test, you are to come talk with me and we can decide on a time for you to take it on Monday.  Those wishing to retake the test must come talk to me by the end of the day on Friday.
